This is a fabulous rare Antique Carved Walnut Black Forest Swiss Musical Chair with stunning boxwood inlaid scenes of Deer and Stags. Dating to c1890.
The Swiss musical movement is wound from underneath and play when someone sits on the chair. See attached video.
There is remnants of its original label and also a Harrods retail label when Harrods had bought out Walter Carter.
Measures 97cm back height x 46.5cm seat height x 48cm widest x 41cm deep.
